Oxford and Cambridge Scholarship 2023 Get Rs 400000 Apply Now

It is the mission of the Oxford and Cambridge Society of India (OCSI), a non-profit alumni organization, to provide the OCSI Scholarship UK 2023 to Indian students seeking admission to undergraduate, second undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs in the United Kingdom and the United States. After being accepted into Oxford or Cambridge, the chosen candidates will receive up to INR 4,00,000 in financial aid as well as other benefits.

Oxford and Cambridge Scholarship 2023 Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must – 

  • be a resident of India
  • be below 30 years of age on 1 September of the year of application for the award
  • The applicant must have graduated from an Indian university, if applying for a second undergraduate degree or a postgraduate degree
  • Applicants for undergraduate courses must be school students in an Indian institution
  • Have been accepted to study at either the University of Cambridge or the University of Oxford on a full-time basis
  • intend to pursue one of the following courses of study:
  • Research leading to Ph.D. degree
  • Postgraduate courses lasting one year (e.g. MPhil, LLM, Diploma, CASM or Part III Mathematics, MBA, PGCE, etc.)
  • Research-based and taught Master’s programs of various durations (including M.Sc., engineering, and medicine)
  • Second Bachelor’s degree as an affiliated student/senior status
  • Bachelor’s degree programme
  • OCSI cannot assist or admit students to the University of Cambridge or the University of Oxford (Note – OCSI cannot admit students or assist in this process).

Note – Applicants who are expected to graduate in the year of the awards are also eligible.

Oxford and Cambridge Scholarship 2023 Benefits

Scholarships are being offered by the Oxford and Cambridge Society of India for admission to the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge in the academic year 2023-24, as follows:

  • There is an OCSI K.K. Luthra Memorial Scholarship worth INR 2,50,000 available at the University of Cambridge or the University of Oxford
  • The OCSI Anita Banerji Memorial Scholarship is worth INR 2,000 and is available at Cambridge and Oxford Universities
  • There is an OCSI Nirmal Luthra Memorial Scholarship worth INR 4,00,000 available at the University of Cambridge

 

Emmanuel College Cambridge (India) Scholarship worth INR 2,00,000 is available from Nikhil Sawhney and Sumant Dhamija at Emmanuel College, Cambridge

One scholarship worth INR 1,00,000 is tenable only at St. Hilda’s College, Oxford, from Ritika Dhamija

Swami Vivekananda scholarship eligibility criteria

Scholarship eligibility criteria for the Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means (SVMCM) scholarship 2021 are as follows:

  • Vivekananda scholarship applicants must be residents of West Bengal
  • A Vivekananda scholarship applicant’s household income cannot exceed Rs 2,50,000 per year

A change has been made to the eligibility requirements for the Swami Vivekananda scholarship by West Bengal’s chief minister, Mamata Banerjee.   • You will be directed to the next page where you will need to select the registration category and then click on the Apply for Fresh Registration button.
  • Fill in the registration form and click on Register.
  • On the next page, upload the supporting documents.

Swami Vivekananda scholarship: Selection process

The eligible candidates are ranked in descending order based on their marks in the qualifying examination as well as their incomes. Vivekananda scholarships are awarded based on the availability of funds and the merit list. As a final step, the funds are transferred to the candidate’s account if the documents are in order.
