DSW Scholarship Application Fee

Applicants will have to pay Rs. 200 as an application fee online for the DSW Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria for DSW Scholarship  MSU 2023-24

  • Candidates must be regular/bonafide/enrolled students of “The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda”
  • Students and their families are in such a financial position that their household income (including income of all family members living together) is not more than Rs. 3,50,000/- (Rupees three lacs fifty thousand only) per annum vide Syndicate Resolution No. 37 dated 29-06-2019 and
  • At least 55% of the marks in the previous examination have been obtained by the candidate, and
  • Has not received any financial assistance/fee waiver, etc. The candidate may also receive similar assistance from any source, for the same or relevant academic period.

Required Documents for DSW Scholarship MSU

Applications for DSW Scholarships online must include the following documents valid for 2023-24:

  1. Recent passport-size photograph
  2. Specimen Signature
  3. Results with 55% overall passing marks (Marksheets for the academic year of -2021-22 to follow)
  4. Fee Slip(Academic Year 2023-24 )
  5. Identity card / Government ID proof for faculty members
  6. You can provide the salary slip of yourself or your parents, or the latest income certificate issued by the government’s competent authority. of Gujarat
  7. The latest electricity bill for your family or residence
  8. Copy of the front page of any nationalized bank’s passbook.
  9. A disability identification card certified by a civil surgeon (if applicable)
  10. If residing on rent, the rent agreement or latest rent payment receipt is required
  11. A Defense Certificate from the Competent Authority (the District Sainik Welfare & Resettlement Officer or the Commanding Officer) is required.

Important Instruction for Apply Online DSW Scholarship

  1. Any application incomplete in any way and/or not accompanied by the required documents will be rejected.
  2. In its sole discretion, the Directorate reserves the right to award scholarships to the most deserving students based on the merit list, which shall be conclusive and final.
  3. Scholarships / Financial Assistance shall be granted for a period of ‘Two’ consecutive semesters and will not be automatically renewed. For students seeking financial support for another year, they will need to submit a new application.
  4. Depending on funding availability, DSW reserves the right to continue to grant scholarships / financial assistance.
  5. A false or misleading statement made in the application shall render the applicant liable for denial of assistance and/or other punitive measures.
  6. A specific unit/building must be selected in the DSW Form for students of the Faculty of Commerce.
  7. There is a National Scholarship Portal http://www.scholarships.gov.in that is available for minority students (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jain, Zoroastrians, (and Parsis) ) to apply.
  8. You can register on the following website (http://www.digitalgujarat.gov.in) if you are a category student (SC/ST/SEBC).
  9. A death certificate of the parent or parent’s spouse (if applicable) must be uploaded in specific cases.

Steps for Online Registration for DSW Scholarship MSU 2023-24

  1. Visit the official website https://msubaroda.ac.in/dsw/
  2.  Please read the first instruction before applying. Click here to see the instructions
  3. Click on the New User button. The screen will display the ‘Registration Form for Scholarship, Financial Assistance, Fee waiver, and/or Freeship 2023-24’.
  4. Fill out the Registration form. Click on ‘Register Me’. There will be red letters if there is a mistake against some entry. Click ‘Register Me’ again after correcting the entries.
  5. If all the information in the online form is correct, click ‘Yes’ against the line ‘Confirmation about the information you filled in is correct?’ and click ‘Register Me’.
  6. Please log in again using your existing username and password and complete the payment process.
  7. Please upload the documents that the system prompts you to upload.
  8. Select ‘Print Registration Form’. Your Registration Form will be generated based on the information you entered. You can print your registration form by pressing ‘Ctrl+P’ once it has been generated on the screen.

Note: The PRN consists of only 10 digits, and then the PRN is followed by a six-digit ‘000000’ (e.g. If your PRN is ‘1234567809’, then write ‘0000001234567809’).

What is DSW Scholarship at MSU?

The Directorate of Students’ Welfare (DSW) is the University’s flagship program. To provide financial assistance to economically weaker students of the University, the then Vice Chancellor & higher authorities initiated the program. The primary motive of DSW is to grant financial aid to ‘genuine but economically disadvantaged’ future assets of this nation pursuing their studies at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda started way back in the academic year 2012-13 which resulted in the haves and the haves not being on equal footings.

A student seeking Scholarship support must have a family income of fewer than 3.5 lacks per annum and a mark of 55% in the previous year’s exam. Online applications can be made using the MSU website (https://msubaroda.ac.in/dsw) with all of the required documents like Aadhar cards, bank account details, electricity bills, etc.

Mode of Distribution of Scholarship Amount
